Abstract:
With the ever-accelerating process of urbanization, the scale and speed of land circulation in China gradually intensifies, but the trend of land circulation used for “non-food” production has posed a serious threat to our food security. A cause analysis of the phenomenon finds the major reasons being as follows: impulse of local economic development; the low enthusiasm of crop-planting in farmers; imperfect system for food production. Countermeasures are thus put forth: the use of administrative means, economic means to regulate land circulation; the perfection of grain subsidy policy to enhance people’s crop-planting interest; the stepping up of publicity campaign to raise people’s awareness in food security.
