Abstract: Lexical chunks refer to lexical units composed of more words which are relatively stable in both meaning and form. They are acquired as a whole and stored in memory. The proper use of them can help to improve fluency, accurateness and coherence of linguistic output. Teachers should train consciousness of lexical chunks of their students from lecture on knowledge concerning lexical chunks and their acquisition and output in an attempt to improve their English.
