Abstract:
Based on the industrialization stages theory by the American economist Hollis B. Chenery, the economic development stage of the 30 counties and prefectures within the valley of the Tuojiang River was divided into 4 types: primary stage of developed economy, advanced stage of industrialization, middle stage of industrialization, and primary stage of industrialization. By the support of GIS, the 2010 TM remote sensing image was adopted for interpretation of the land use status distribution in the studying area and the structural characteristics of different types of land use in these districts and counties were analyzed. On basis of which, the land use efficiency of different industries by means of the VA index,and the correlation mode between the output value and the amount of land use among different industries was put under examination through the index of OR.The results showed that the overall situation in the Tuojiang River basin was at the middle stage of industrialization and the industrial structure is characteristic of a “231” feature; The output value for per area of the second industry was far higher than that of the third industry and the first industry; a disharmonic relation is found in between the output value and the amount of land use in the three industries.The findings can serve as the theoretical basis for industrial structure optimization adjustment and rational use of land resources in the region.
