Abstract:
Taking the Eighteen Pits’ Abandoned Quarry Eco-restoration Project in Luojiang of Quanzhou City as an example,an effort is made to explore new methods for abandoned quarries’ eco-restoration and reconstruction. Based upon the analysis of the quarry’s current status as well as its regional existing natural geographic environment, by applying theories of landscape ecology and systematic engineering, and in accordance with the principles of locality, practicability, and ecologicalness, an eco-restoration plan is thus designed, and the actual results of which are then subjected to an analytical summary, with corresponding suggestions for eco-restoration and reconstruction put forth in the end
