Abstract: The protruding problems of functional orientation of CPC party schools of universities are ignorance of functions of moral cultivation, education, consultation of scientific research and the construction of organizations with study orientation. On the basis of performing its traditional functions, these schools need to extend further the four functions: moral cultivation, enlightenment, consultative service of scientific research and construction of party organizations with study orientation. And on the function extending function, they should also optimize their functions. Such optimization should start with five aspects as ensuring our party spirit from reality, strengthening the system construction, improving the teaching content, innovating the teaching methods and enhancing the construction of teaching staff.
