Abstract:
The circulation form of contractual right transfer of land in Chengdu is mainly a unified circulation system through pooling of land as quantified shares. Based on the statistics obtained in the survey of 265 households in the six counties by the author in August 2009 on the Chengdu Plain (including cities, districts, 12 towns, 24 villages), and by use of logistic model, an empirical analysis is made of people’s willingness in joining the land joint-stock system in the three economic districtsⅠ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ with a quite obvious difference in economic development in Chengdu. The results thus obtained are then subjected to a detailed explanation. The empirical results show that a variety of combined factors affect the farmers’ willingness in joining the said system such as their family and economic characteristics. But the most significant impacts come from the proportion of non-farm income against the total household income, the current total area of land under cultivation for the household, the annual per capita income and per capita net income of villages, etc., and at last relevant policies are put forth.
