Abstract:
This paper has reviewed the new curriculum reform of primary Chinese, which can be roughly divided into two phases: the concept-popularized phase and rational return phase. The achievements made in such reform have been strikingly noticeable in the past ten years. Nevertheless, there still exist some problems which deserve our reflections. These problems include those of coordination between educational conception and teaching practice, what to be taught and lack of creativity. The future development of primary Chinese will inevitably be students-oriented, children-oriented and elegance-oriented, and will have to pay more attention to the students’ growth.
