Abstract:
By using the methods of literature survey, on-the-spot investigation and logic analysis, a probe is conducted to look into the current situation, characteristics of the new curricular standards concerning special physical education in western rural middle schools. The findings show that the physical education of the disabled students in western rural areas is far from optimistic for the weak awareness of fair education among educational leaders, the lack of adequate consciousness, lagged action, poor-quality and inadequate teaching staff, the lack of a training system and supporting policies. Correspondent counter measures and suggestions are also put forth in hope of addressing such problems
