Abstract: Being good at using classical stories is a chief artistic feature of Nalan Xingde’s Poems. For these classical stories, there is a distinction between positive and negative use, and cover and over employment. They can be used to either allude to the current affairs, or express the author’s thoughts or feelings. And the natural adoption of these stories makes the lyrics harmonious and fresh. In addition to employment of the classic stories, these lyrics combine the stories and lyric context and hence produce the perfect aesthetic effect.
