Abstract: Shangsi Festival is a traditional festival with thick folk color in China. Since its birth, it has acquired rich folk connotation. After Song Dynasties, the festival was no longer as popular as before. And it has taken the gloomy color. Its declination was brought about by more reasons than one. Through the analysis of the festival mentioned in Song lyrics, we may find its evolution in Song Dynasties.
