The results showed that the teaching level of a teacher and the student’s mathematics score of the college entrance examination had significant effects on his/her mathematics achievement at college. However, the mathematics results in college entrance examination can only explain 12.6 per cent of total variation of their college mathematics academic performance. It can be safely concluded that the teaching level of a teacher and the student’s learning autonomy could greatly promote students’ mathematics achievement.
