    An Empirical Study of the Influence of Education Investment upon the Growth of Agricultural TFP

    • 摘要: 应用数据包络分析方法,使用2001-2008年我国30个省(直辖市)的农业面板数据测度我国农业全要素生产率增长,同时考查了教育投资资本存量的差异对各省份农业全要素生产率增长及其构成的影响,并对影响的显著性进行了假设检验.不考虑各省份之间农业教育投资资本存量的差异会导致低估规模效率、技术效率以及纯技术效率的改善对农业全要素生产率增长的贡献,同时也会高估技术进步的贡献.

       

      Abstract: By adopting the DEA and the agricultural pannel data of 30 Chinese provinces(or municipalities directly under the central government) gathered from year 2001 to 2008, the TFP growth was put under careful examination. And an examination was also done to investigate the impact of the stocking differences in education capital upon the TFP growth and TFP constitution of each province and a hypothesis test was conducted to test the significance of the impact. The failure of ignoring the differences existing in education capital stocking among provinces will lead to an underestimation of the contributed value brought about by the improvement of the scale efficiency, technical efficiency and pure technical efficiency upon agricultural TFP growth and an overestimation of the contributed value brought about by technical improvement.
