Abstract: Abstract: Through experiment of metallic phase diagram and by use of Excel, a commonly used data-processing software in experiments of physical chemistry, two separated diagrams were drawn and thus the Sn-Pd two-component phase diagram was decomposed into the drawing of three line segments. Then by the use of transition temperature and the constant temperature detected and adjusted in the experiment, Series 1, series 2 and series 3 were set respectively. Furthe, by application of relevant Excel skills, a perfect phase diagram of the Sn-Pd components was accomplished. The research not only helps students acquaint themselves with the relevant Excel data-processing skills, but also does good to a better understanding of the experiment so as to better realise the experiment’s objectives.
