Abstract: At present, rural revitalization calls for the arts inolvement. When people analyse the nostalgia discourse of the arts involved in rural areas based on different mechanism in urban and rural areas, the art itself is a kind of experience and expression of relationship between the two areas, as well as the best expressive means of development in the interaction between the artistic practice and rural construction. Discourses from the sociology of art suggest that art involvement preserves nostalgia and expands its scope across various dimensions. These dimensions encompass both hardware and software aspects of social life. The discourse on nostalgia must be mutually corroborated with artistic practice to refine the theoretical framework. Furthermore, it is essential to emphasize the principal role of villagers. To this end, a developmental perspective should be adopted to construct villager subjectivity, new paths for nostalgia, and a corresponding discourse system.
