Abstract: This article examines the film, Mickey 17, focusing on its reconstruction of human nature and ethical dilemmas. Set in the post-human era, the film depicts how replicant technology complicates human self-identity. More profoundly, it dramatizes the disruption of conventional ethics and legal norms by such technology. This film further exposes the vulnerability and inherent malleability of human subjectivity under technological mediation. Within the relational framework of replicants and originals, physical separation precipitates the collapse of personal identity. This collapse reveals the obsolescence of traditional cognitive paradigms, which are founded on the notion of a singular subject. Through its absurd dystopian narrative, the film satirizes technological rationality’s disregard for and violation of life’s value. It underscores the imperative to uphold human subjectivity within the tension between technology and human nature. Ultimately, the work provides enlightening perspectives for contemplating the profound societal impacts of technological advancement.
