Abstract:
In the context of the rapid development of intelligent electronic products in the new era, the usage of these products by the elderly population has attracted significant attention. Based on an integrated technology acceptance model, this study investigates the usage of electronic products by the elderly across seven dimensions. The seven dimensions are as follows: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, behavioral intention, user behavior with electronic products, and happiness index. The analysis indicates that multiple dimensional variables in the usage measurement of electronic products by the elderly, based on the UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) model, all exhibit significant positive effects. Therefore, efforts should be made to enhance the willingness of the elderly to use electronic products through government guidance, the development of elderly-friendly products by enterprises, and support from communities and families where elderly population come from. In this way, the usage of electronic products among the elderly population can be promoted.
