Abstract:
LIANG Shuming established the Mianren School with the educational purpose of
mianren. The school emphasized enhancement of the educational ethos of teachers, and promotion of an educational system characterized by supervisors’ care. It also advocated a three-dimensional collaborative education environment among families, schools, and society. Moreover, it endorsed an educational model of independence autonomy of students, and prioritized the educational principle of humanities inheritance. LIANG’s construction and practice of the education theory of moral self-improvement and enhancement still hold significant enlightening implications currently. The education theory can be adopted to address issues such as job burnout of teachers, psychological crises in students, and inadequate cultural inheritance in contemporary basic education.
