Abstract: People are the key to carrying out the CPC’s work related to journalism and public opinion. Universities play a nucleus role in cultivating talents in journalism and communication. They should fully utilize the high-quality resources of core values education with the inheritance of revolutionary tradition and spirit from FAN Changjiang. Thus, the theoretical logic and practical approaches to integrating the inheritance of revolutionary tradition and spirit from FAN into the core values education of journalism and communication talents can be explored and applied fully in universities. The integration is an objective requirement for universities in the new era to implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. It is also a conscious effort to cultivate a team of work related to journalism and public opinion for the CPC. The team is morally upright, imbued with a sense of political mission and social responsibility, capable of shouldering the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.
