Abstract:
Since the 21
st century, scholars have mainly focused on the research of teaching objectives in the English subject in elementary education stage, including the objective design, principles of objective design, the basis of objective design, other issues to be noted in objective design, and the articulation of teaching objectives. Previous studies shows the following characteristics:increasing number of studies, diverse research perspectives, and research content presenting the characteristics of different stages. However, there are also problems such as too many repetitive studies which lack breadth and depth in research content, sometimes focusing on one issue at the expense of another, and paying more attention to common issues than to individual issues. In the future, individuality should be highlighted in theoretical research on teaching objective design, and applied research should draw more on theoretical research. The study on emotional attitudes and values should also be stressed. Research should be promoted to move towards a more in-depth and problem-targeted direction.
