Optical Transmission Spectral Analysis of Ag/PS Spherical Arrays

摘要: 用旋涂法制备了单层PS球阵列, 结合真空镀膜技术, 得到纳米银膜覆盖的PS球阵列, 实验测量了该结构的透射光谱, 理论分析表明回音廊共振和表面等离激元共振决定了Ag/PS球阵列复合结构的透射特征.与实验结果对比, 完美结构模型的数值模拟得到的透射光谱共振峰的全宽半高值减小, 光谱峰有较大的红移, 反映了缺陷对透射光谱有重要影响.研究结果对Ag/PS球阵列在增强LED发光强度, 提高拉曼光谱分辨率等领域的应用有参考价值.Abstract: Mono-layer spherical polystyrene particle (PS) arrays were prepared by a spin coating method, and then by combined use of vacuum vaporization technology, the Ag Nano-film coated PS spherical arrays were produced.A theoretical analysis shows that the optical transmission characteristics of the composite structure are decided by the whispering gallery mode (WGM) resonance and surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) resonance.Compared with the experimental results, the transmission characteristics of a perfect model shows the full width half height value of the SPPs resonant peak is reduced and the peak undergoes a large red shift, which indicates a significant influence of the defects on the transmission spectrum.The research results may find potential application in enhancing the intensity of LED emission and improving the resolution of Raman spectra.
