Abstract:
To explore the current situation of college students’ security and achievement motivation and the relationship between them. The security scale and achievement motivation scale were used to investigate 425 college students, and SPSS 17.0 was used for statistical analysis. The results showed that college students’ sense of security lies mostly in the middle level, with significant differences found in gender, subject, specialty, origins, grade and whether or not an only-child.The achievement motivation of college students is a little too high, and in terms of this regard there are significant differences in the origins, gender, subject, grade and whether or not an only-child, and there exists no significant difference in terms of specialty.College students’ sense of security is positively correlated with achievement motivation, and sense of security has positive predictive function on the achievement motivation. One of the most predictive powers is the human security, whose interpretive variation reaches 17.20%, next to which is the fixed control sense whose interpretive variation reaches 0.90%.Therefore, there is a significant correlation between the security of college students and achievement motivation, and the sense of security has a positive predictive effect on the achievement motivation.
