    On Causes of Prevalence of Chinese Folk Music and Their Cultural Manifestation

    • 摘要: 当下的一些流行民谣借助媒体强有力的传播,常常成为众多音乐类型中令人瞩目的亮点。 民谣的发展脉络及其在当下的流行既体现了社会经济,也反映出人们的文化经验和情感结构的变化。 但当下流行民谣作为大众文化的一支,其情感泛化的创作倾向、符号化的内容生成以及与大众媒介的结合,使得其渐渐失去了创作的独立性,更多地成为了都市栖居者廉价的情感消费品,限制了自身多元发展及深度介入现实的可能性。

       

      Abstract: With the help of media, some popular folk music has caught people’s eyes among various types of music. The
      evolution of the folk music has reflected the social economy as well as people’s cultural experience and change of their emo- tions. However, as a branch of popular culture, the folk music has been facing with problems as emotional generalization in people’s creation orientation, and combination between symbolized content and mass media. This has led to the loss of creation independence gradually, and become the cheap emotional consumption of urban inhabitants, and hence limited its diversified de- velopment and deep involvement in the reality.
