    On Views of Marriage and Love in Pride and Prejudice and Their Contemporary Inspiration

    • 摘要: 《傲慢与偏见》表现了英国维多利亚时代的婚恋观,在当今社会仍有一定代表性和现实意义。 奥斯丁否定了为财富、权势和地位而结婚的错误观念,其婚恋观对当代人的启示是:爱情是婚姻幸福的基石,物质是婚姻幸福的保障,理性是婚姻幸福的前提。

       

      Abstract: The novel Prideand Prejudice has expressed people’s views of marriage and love in Victoria age which can
      find their contemporary place and have their realistic significance. Austin has neglected the wrong concept of marriage for wealth, power and status. Such view of marriage and love has brought inspiration to contemporary people: love as the founda- tion of happy marriage, material as the guarantee, and the reason as the premise.
