Abstract:
Fair play and justice, as the core value of competitive sports, has been a hot issue widely discussed in the sports circle. What is fundamental to the fulfillment of fair play and justice lies in the rationality of the making of the rules, however, the rule of“achieving goals through low-efficiency approaches”, being the principle governing the creation of compet- itive sports rules, runs always counter to the worldly life concept, causing lots of deviations from the ideology of fair play and justice(breach of regulation, doping and frauds, etc). In view of this, by referring relevant sociological theories, and in combi- nation with the substitutive characteristics of competitive sports, efforts is made to explore about the ideology of fair play and justice and the implementation approaches in the hope of enriching and improving theories of competitive sports and promoting the healthy and harmonic development of competitive sports.
