Abstract: The publication of TheCommunist Manifesto in1848 marked the birth of the scientific socialism. Such socialism developed the reasonable parts of utopian socialism and has found its great value in theory and practice in the process of revolution, construction and reformation. It still has its powerful life force at present. Firstly, from the fundamental principles and methodology, the scientific socialism is theoretically convincing eternally. Secondly, from the various social ideological trends, it has the great theoretical infectivity. Thirdly, from the socialism with Chinese characteristics, it has the important theoretical guidance. Fourthly, from new changes of contemporary capitalism, it has the profound theoretical insight. Nowa- days, China is in the critical period of our party’s administration, and the reflection and reexamination of the life force of the scientific socialism is of great significance either theoretically or practically
