Abstract: So far, the studies of ZHANG Da-qian have mainly focused on his painting works. And this paper has started from his numerous poems which fail to get people's attention, and analyzed the core and root of his life in an attempt to provide a kind of thinking for understanding the master's life and artistic creation as well as some inspiration for other painting learners.
