Abstract: Brazil is known as “football kingdom”. In Brazil, football is far more than a mere sport, but also a culture, a way of lifestyle. The unique “art football” is bred by tropical Brazil, and multi-race and mestizo culture provide the basis and conditions for the establishment of this style. Through football Afro-Brazilian integration nicely fits into the Brazilian society. Football becomes the booster of Brazil's national identity. Brazilian football's style changes unavoidably with the times in the context of globalization and commercialization, and the “practical football” and “efficiency football” exert a strong impact on “art football”.
