Abstract:
Based on the cognitive characteristics of hearing-impaired children, a situation-based multimedia-assisted literacy method is put forth in hope of enhancing their understanding of abstract concepts, so as to improve their mastery of the sound, form and meaning of a character and promote their ability in using a word and thus achieve a smooth knowledge transition. A contrastive experiment is then conducted to verify the effectiveness of the new method and it is found:(1)the new method has improved correctness for a child in learning a character, particularly, it works well in helping a child learning the form and meaning of a character;(2)the new method does a good job in enhancing children's ability of using a word and knowledge transition.
