Abstract:
The ideological content of Chinese text books has its ideological functions. Before the curricular innovation, such textbooks highlighted their political and ideological functions. But after the innovation, they have paid more attention to other functions. Due to the inadequate integration of the dominant ideology with the non-dominant ones under the long period of monist policies, the class nature, ambiguity and hysteresis of the ideology and the compilers' limited understanding, the ideological elements of the Chinese textbooks have failed to achieve the expected effects. Further, some elements are guided to more targets, which results in the dislocation of service sense of ideology.
