Abstract: As one of the representative works of CAI Yong, Ode to the Beauty in Black is one with love as its theme written in the affection current in late East Han Dynasty. From the perspective of affection, the ode not only was in accordance with the tide of the time, but drove its development. And it has contributed a lot to the development of love poems. From its artistic features, the quotation of classic and ironic stories has long been considered as an important contribution to the development of the poetic theories.
