Abstract:
The flexible mathematical transformation of problem representation significantly affects problem solving. On the basis of previous studies of representation theory, by focusing on the representions of mathematical transformation in the key steps of solving mathematics problems in the college entrance examination, An analytical framework is constructed for the mathematical transformation of representation in college entrance examination papers which includes the representions of situation, knowledge span, multiple representions, operation, reasoning, and mathematical transformation categories. Taking New Gaokao Maths Paper Volume I, National Gaokao Maths Paper Version B(Liberial Art Volume & Science Volume) and Beijing Volume of Gaokao Maths Paper as examples, the study finds that, in terms of the commonality of the four sets of papers concerning the testing of representational transformation, the testing of situational features focuses on the testing of proficiency mathematicization, and the category of the representational transformation is consistent with the trend of proficiency test; as for the testing priorities concerning the testing of representational transformation in the four sets of examination papers, the new Gaokao Volume I is more comprehensive, and the National Gaokao Volume B is distinct with the characteristics of liberal arts and science, and the Beijing Volume of Gaokao is innovative in its testing of non-standard form of characterization.
