    Content and Construction of Core Competence for English Major Students in Higher Normal Schools in China

    • 摘要: 在新的历史时期,培养高师院校英语专业学生核心素养是落实立德树人战略目标的根本任务,是践行以人为本和回归教育本源的重要途径。构建高师院校英语专业学生核心素养框架对高师院校英语专业教师在课程教学设计、实施与评价等方面具有指导意义。高师院校英语专业学生核心素养包括教师职业素养和英语核心素养两个方面。而教师职业素养包括师德素养、信息技术素养、人文科学素养、教育素养、教学素养、发展素养与身心健康七维素养;英语核心素养包括语言能力、文化品格、思维品质与学习能力四维素养。

       

      Abstract: In the new historical period, to cultivate the core competency of students majoring in English language in higher normal schools in China is the fundamental task to implement the strategic goal of morality education. It is also an important way to practice the people-oriented policy and return to the origin of education. The construction framework of the core competency for the students of English majoring in English language in higher hormal schools is the guideline for the teachers of English in higher normal schools to design, implement and evaluate the curriculum teaching. The core competency includes two aspects: the teachers’ professional quality and the core competency of English language. The former consists of the seven aspects: ethics, information technology, humanities, education, development, and physical and mental health. The latter embraces language competence, cultural character, thinking quality and learning ability. This paper expounds the content and relationship between teachers’ professional quality and the core competency for the students. It puts forward some suggestions on teachers’ professional quality and the core competency of English language as well.
