    Research of Food Tourism Image in Wuhan Hubu Alley ——The Difference and Similarity of Chinese and Foreign Tourist Gaze from the VEP perspective

    • 摘要: 西方学界将VEP方法运用于旅游意象分析时,通过收集目的地旅游者和社区居民的拍摄照片形成系统主客视角对比研究.随着国内城市旅游形象的国际化传播,地方美食元素开发和相关美食景点建设吸引国内外游客来访品味.通过图文分析对比VEP视角下中外游客之凝视异同,解读武汉户部巷美食旅游意象视觉展示和文本中内隐的话语权表达,使有关旅游目的地利益群体的凝视概貌和心理诉求得以彰显,为地方美食旅游开发管理和国际形象塑造与改进提供一些建设性思路.

       

      Abstract: In the western academic circle, when the VEP method is adopted to analyze the tourism image, the contrastive study is generally done through the two systematic perspectives(subjective and objective)formed by collecting the photos taken by the tourists to a tourist destination and photos taken by the community residents. With the international spread of domestic city tourism image, local food element development and related food attractions construction have enticed many tourists to come and enjoy. Through the analytical comparison of the differences between Sino-foreign tourists from the VEP perspective of tourist gaze, the article tries to interpret the visual representation of Wuhan Hubu Alley Food Tourism image and implicit speech thus to get a clear picture about the general tourist gaze outlook of the interests groups and the psychological pursuits in the tourist destinations and to shed some light on the tourism development management and the shaping of international tourism image for the local authorities.
